…as St Augustine says, God is closer to you than you are to yourself. It seems too good to be true, that you have been created by God and that God holds you in being, cradled and loved…It is a wondrous thing that God could be so close and interested in people that it should transform the way people pray and live.
Rather than sitting in judgement of me from far above, God is actually in touch with me in a constant and loving way. In times of crisis, I can find God within me.
